Hi Ric . What is GISP and GIS? Gena will be posting a copy of the presentation at Chat Transcripts. Under Chat on the main "tool bar" or what ever you call it. Have fun in Maine.
OK - will be interesting discussion. I will do my presentation first and then open the floor for discussion then feel free to comment. I drove on PA Rt 14 yesterday which was the Shesoquin (sp) trail.
Nice to hear from you. My maternal grandparents were D. William Arndt and Edith Clewell. They lived in Berwick. My grandmother's siblings were Lloyd Clewell, Frank Clewell and I think a few others. My mother, Evelyn MARIE Arndt Skinner is 92 and lives in Macungie. I recall her talking about going to the Clewell reunion at hte Moravian Church in Nazareth. In my genealogy resources I have sketches of the origninal church location. I also havea copy of Clewell Family History 1737-1907 and additional notes, and of course your website, so I'm pretty well set on the Clewell side.
In fact I have published genealogies for 3 of the 4 ancestral lines of my parents. The one that's limited and incomplete is SKINNER. I would be very interested in seeing what you have on the SKINNER/KRAUSE/CLEWELL.
I just joined GenealogyWise about 20 minutes ago, and am a bit unfamiliar with their set-up.
I wanted to let you know that I am the family genealogist for the Clewell Family.
If you are a member of the family, please let me know, and I will share what information I have on your part of the family line.
If I miss you at this site, you can also reach me at www.clewellfamily.com.
I've also contacted another Clewell family member, whose mother's surname was Skinner (yes, she was a part of the Clewell line).
If you go back a few generatations, a Skinner married a Krause, and a Krause married a Clewell, and that's their part of the family line.
Anyway, please let me know if I can help you. I ask that you give me the names of your Clewell parents and grandparents to help me identify your family line. (It's quite possible that you may be a part of a line that has been lost, however.)
I have nearly 22,500 names (Clewells and Non-Clewell spouses), so let me know if I can help you.
