Sounds like we are both very interested in the Paynter/Painter families. Jim and I went to Bruce Mines in 2004. I would like to learn more about your family. All I have on your family is Mary Paynter, born 1845; died 1915, married Walter Weeks. Please Email me at cornishc@comcast.net. Hope to hear from you soon. Carol
Hi Richard, I sent an Email to Rick Paynter. He said that he had been working with you. Interesting that you were born and lived in South Cerney. Joseph Painter married Mary Cary 29 Sep 1818 at North Cerney. Jim and I visited North Cerney in 2007My ancestor is Elizabeth, chr 1 April 1821 Ashton Keynes, who had an illegitimate daughter, Dianna Painter born 14 March 1840 at Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire. Elizabeth married William Pugh 14 Dec. 1847 in Upper Slaughter, Gloucester. Dianna was raised by Joseph & Mary Cary Painter in Ashton Keynes. Do you know who Jane Painter, born 1820, married? Understand she stayed in England.
