Hello Robert,
My Gourley family is from Elizabethton, Carter Co TN. I have been there many times to research. My Captain Thomas Gourley lived out on Coal Shute Road. This was back in the 1780-up. Also, are you kin to Michael Hyder? Hyder's and Gourley's intermarried.
