Roy, I have been researching the Rowse family of the Northwest for awhile. My great grandfather (my father's maternal grandfather) was a copper miner and brought the family from St Austell, Cornwall, to the Cornish mining town of Walkerville, Monana, northeast of Butte, in the 1880s. The family moved to Seattle, Washington in 1908.
I see you're interested in one-name studies. As I've said to Daphne - the Guild of One-Name Studies is excellent - and you don't have to register a name. If you want to have a chat about it, I'm happy to give you a ring - if you "be my friend" we can exchange numbers.
