I have found information on Nellie & Joseph FINALLY. Thanks to me FINALLY getting on Ancestry.com & my Grandma had their Marriage Certificate & Death Certificates. Which was a BIG help! However, Now I have found Joseph & Nellie! I know now that James & Mary Ramey are parents to Joseph Ramey & he had two brothers: James & Isaac Ramey. I'm kind of at a big stop with anything past James…

I am also searching the Teagues. My Grandmother's maiden name was Teague. I have linked them all the way to William Swain Teague -from Moody, Texas- & then on to John & Edward Teague from Ireland. I haven't yet worked out all the kinks closer to the Ireland links, mainly due to clashing internet sources. I've only been on the search for about a week though. I'd say I was doing pretty…

Currently, I am looking for any information beyond my Grandpa's Grandparents. They were Nellie & Joseph Ramey-their son is Walter B. Ramey. He is my Grandpa's father. I have not been able to find anything on Nellie & Joseph on a basic internet search. I'm stumped!

My email is patty719@msn.com no one can get any farther back than William Swaim Teague, and we really aren't sure why. We know who his mother was, but that's only because she migrated to Texas with Will, his sister and brother. Her name was Winifred Nancy Bray. I have the information on where she is buried - can't remember it at the moment, so will have to look it up. I do know that she is buried beside her daughter Nancy Bray Teague Hollingsworth.
Daughter Nancy married John Hollingsworth, an English immigrant. In my files I also have the information on her. Son Isaac H. Teague was killed in the Civil War - I have his CW payroll/muster records. His death caused a big confusion for a long time, because there doesn't seem to be any kind of "official report of death" regarding him.
We only know that the family was originally out of NC; migrated up to TN - where they went first, we don't know, because no one knows what county in TN daughter Nancy was born in. But then came Will, who was born in Warren County, TN in 1834. Then Isaac was born in Henderson County, TN in 1835. They came from Henderson County to Texas, settling in Cass County first.
There have been literally dozens of Teague researchers who have physically went to TN and hand searched the records with no luck in turning up the father's name at all. There are a LOT of trees online that will list someone as the father, but they aren't right - none of them are.
We have a few VERY SOLID leads/theories and in fact are working on some of them right now. Drop me a line at my email and I'll pass them on to you! Patty

Hi Samantha -
I just accepted your friend request, and noticed that you are from Waco. Curious - what line of Teagues are yours from? I am a gr-gr-granddaughter of William Swaim Teague, born 1834 in Warren County, TN; died in 1922 in Moody, McLennan County, TX. His son William Albert, down to Will A.'s daughter Myrtle Amanda to her daughter Dora Belle to me - this is my direct line. Hope to hear from you soon! Patty
