Sarah, re last comment to you. You mention that you are dsescended from John Thomas from his father's first marriage. So I wonder whether Williams Charles (my line) is from his first or second marriage. Do you know at all.
Hello Sarah, have just seen your connection to my family tree. Yes my ancestor was James Walter Possee.(police officer) I did not know he married twice. I only have his wife as Sarah Sutton. How interesting. I haveJame's father as William a farmer, My line is from Jame's son William Charles born 1858. William's son had a son called William Charles born 1884, and his son William Charles born 1910 was my father.(so keeping the same name) So have you managed to find Jame's father William's ancenstry. I would love to hear.
Hi Sarah,
I had a quick look at you tree on ancestry, I have a Charles Maynard, born ?1804ish, probably Kent. i don't have a confirmed birth or marriage for him. I have him positive in Sevenoaks 1841 1851 census, with children and ? wife, i have his migration to Australia . So i don't have enough to relate him to anyone at this stage. I have been stuck at this level for ages.
I see that you are researching Maynard's in Kent, i always get a bit excited when i find someone researching the same name in the same county. but your other names don't appear in my tree:-((
It has links to many of the county groups now, so is an excellent central
point for links round the country, and a focal point for news & discussions
relevant to England.
