I began lineage research in 2009 and have since become a 23andMe Ancestry Ambassador, an Ancestry.com Ancestry Ace, administrator of The Captain Thomas Graves of Jamestown Autosomal DNA Project, administrator of the Ford-Washington DNA Project, co-administrator of the Hemings-Jefferson-Wayles-Eppes Autosomal DNA Project, and a participant in The North Carolina Genealogical Society/FamilySearch North Carolina Loose Estates Records Project.
I also author Through The Trees, http://ThroughTheTreesBlog.tumblr.com, a didactic guide to genealogical tools and technology. Major repositories I have used for historical and genealogical research include the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Library, The National Archives, The Library of Congress, The Library of Virginia, The Harvard University Library, and The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Libraries.
