Hi Sharon, I recall your name from the Wilbanks list on Rootsweb probably some time last year? Did you ever make any inroads on your Wilbanks line? It is possible that your William Jackson Wilbanks was the brother of my Reuben Wilbanks of LIncoln Co., TN. I have made no new discoveries on that line in some time, with the exception of the DNA testing updates. Question--Do you ever find your Carders spelled with a "T"? I have some Carters from Georgia interconnected with my Wilbanks. I also have a Roper family living as close neighbors to my Wilbanks in Lincoln Co., TN. Bracken Roper, b. ca. 1806 NC, was the head of the family and Rosa Emeline Williams was his wife. I have not researched this family beyond the basics. Not sure if they came through Georgia. The Ropers marry into the Haley family (which is connected to my Wilbanks). Do keep in touch!
