I see that you're interested in researching the name Partington. I was wondering what family connection you might have. I'm an Australian Partington - my 2nd great grandfather James Partington (1825 - 1865) came to Oz in 1843 as a convict guard. He evidently was born in Gloucestershire in England, whereas most Partingtons came from around Manchester. Would be interested in hearing from you.
