I know very little of the Buffum name and where my family originates. Seems my Dads side has literally no info for me. Luckily, I have lots of info on my moms side.
My husband's Sturdevants came to Canada about 1825 from Willinck in New York State. They settled in the Lambton County area of Wilkesport in Sombra Township. This was Paul Sturdevant who had married Lydia Eddy of Vermont. Might any of these names or locations connect with your line? I have found very few descendants of this family. Most others connect to Samuel Sturdevant. We cannot connect Paul to anyone.
