I would like to issue a correction to Margaret Kerr Beckwith's posted information. Thomas Elsey & Ann Finch are not the parents of Edward Elsey. There is no documentation indicating that they ever migrated to the United States. It is more likely, though also unproven, that Edward Elsey was the son of a Nicholas Ellsey that was transported aboard the ShipTryal in 1753. Just wanted to clear that up. Thanks!!
