Hi Tea - I was stranded a very long way from home when I received your query regarding Michael Szabo, but I am back home now and I read your email to him over the phone and it has turned out that you have already contacted him and your grandfather Ron Schofield.  I have met him a few times also through Michael introducing him to me.  The last time I saw him he was in the Gunnedah Hospital a few months ago.  I didn't realize that he was the person you were trying to find until today when I was telling Mike about having received your email and then it dawned on both of us.  Anyway I'm glad that you have been in touch with your grandfather.
