I just stumbled across a number of old posts related to the Robert Harris family (https://www.genealogy.com/forum/regional/states/topics/ga/28672/) from County Donegal, Ireland. I am working on the descendants of Robert Harris Sr. (1702-1788), son of Edward Harris Jr., Grandson of Edward Harris and Flora Douglas. Our line migrated to Swatara Creek, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania around 1745, then to North Carolina around 1766, settling in what is now Harrisburg, Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
I have recently published an update to a genealogy text published by Mary Harris Stratton in 1967 through a local history organization called The Harris Depot Project. If you're still interested in Harris family material, I'll be glad to forward the PDF eBook version via email. We're making it available to the general public free of charge. We also have print editions for a nominal fee.
Please feel free to contact me via email at grierhpharmd@gmail.com or via text or phone at 704-906-1427 if you're interested. You can also access our ongoing work on the Harris family and Harrisburg via the Facebook Group Harris Depot. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1832777986784862/).
Please feel free to share this note with anyone you know who is interested in Harris family history and genealogy.
