Tony Cantwell has not received any gifts yet
Oh how wonderful, i can only imagine how amazing that experience must have been. I Hope I get the chance to make it there one day. There is a word for it, for people who long to be somewhere they haven't been, Fernweh.
I have read all about the Fada ( Tall man) but I cant seem to find much more information on it apart from a couple sites. I have sent you a friend request on here I think, as Id like to talk in depth about our parents and grandparents etc. I spoke to my dad tonight and hes very keen to talk with me more tomorrow about our efigy.
Hey Antony, this is great news to hear! Im at page 38 ( 1.1.3.1.5.2.31.1 ) My da is Michael James Cantwell,1.1.3.1.5.2.3a (Private, Male)* (his father was James Patrick Thomas.) Ill have to look at the folder at how closely related we are. Do you have family around? My dad still resides in the family home In Lithgow.
Im still trying to work out how to use this platform as im only used to facebook. So it appears we are cousins 3 times removed! My dad will be over joyed to hear I've made contact with another relative. Im not sure how to message you privately?
Cheers
Sharon
Hi Antony!
I read your post and the men you speak of, Henry and John, they are actually my great great great great uncles. Both from WW1.
Youll see that I'm a direct line from them in the family tree you spoke of.
Are you on that tree line and who are your parents? Would like to get in touch with you and see where your from.
Sharon
Hello - did you know we have an active chat community here on Genealogy Wise? There are usually people there to help you with lookups, give advice, answer questions or just talk. There are also scheduled chats including a lively game of Trivia every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 pm eastern time. I hope you will join us sometime soon.
