I am researching for a friend. Her Cathie's are Afro-American and so far I have them traced back to just after the Civil War in North Carolina.

Hi Val,

I'm finding my feet on this site. Generally, it is like Face book, but is idiosyncratic in some respects. I have yet to find out how to upload a family tree, find the help pages etc. The chat room is pretty good, I think. I do like the county groups with links to county related sites.
