Hello, I have researched Susan Villepontoux/Villeponteaux (died ca. 1853), her brothers and husbands. I believe she descends from Drake who married a Lockwood. Susan was widowed three times and died in her early 40's. She had step-children but no natural children who survived. She sued her first husband's estate. He had left her for another woman with whom he had a child.  I am researching her because I have evidence that she owned my 2nd and 3rd great grandmothers. I also live in Greenville. Thanks for posting the information on the Villepontoux. I am willing to share what I know if you have any interest.
