When and how he decided to come to Liverpool

What happened to Mary Letitia ?
ive tried to source all this but had no luck , Richard is my Great Grandfather and I’m from Toxteth Liverpool . We never knew that he was Malato and I’m very interested in how he came to Liverpool and why .
