Easter was a great event when I was small. It was still a great event as a young mother.  

I so enjoyed the getting together with Cousins, Aunts, Uncles  and friends.

As our family grew, and young adults married it was harder to get together but we did manage a few great events

with relatives and friends.  Most of my parents friends were treated equally as relatives.  We even called them Aunt

I'm starting with my Cox line and have come upon an interesting book online called The Cox Family in America that gives a lot of history on the several Coxes that came to America from England, Sweden, Holland, Scotland to name some. And even includes early genealogies for many of them. From what I understand Coxes from these different lines spread far and wide…

Am hoping to network with those researching the Gilleland/Gilliland name.  I have a John Gilleland buried in Decatur Coiunty Indiana about 1834.  Marker says 5th PA Regiment Rev War and thats about all I know.  I do know he originally came into Indiana and settled in Union Couinty, then moved to Decatur County.  Buried adjacent to him is my 5th Great Grandfather John Gilliland.
