A couple of months ago, a good friend of mine’s brother passed away unexpectedly. He was in his late 30s and while he did have some medical issues, there was nothing that would have predicted a young and untimely death. Naturally his family was devastated.

Mary Josephine (Mullane) Coyle died in 1927. After her death her unmarried daughters lived together. In the 1930 US Census the sisters were living at 2109 Walton Avenue in the Bronx. Marion, 28 [actually 30], was an operator in the telephone company. Marguerite, 25 [actually 28], was a supervisor in the telephone company. Lillian, 18, was a book keeper for a shoe company. I knew this was bound to happen and I have to correct some errors. The first concerns the three Catherine Kremers or Kraemer. Philip Wolford was married to Catherine Kraemer and they lived in West Manheim Twp., York Co PA. Some of their children went to Centre Co. PA.  Her name is correct.   Just opened my mail to learn that Rhode Island has opened up the Adoption Records for people over 25 years of age.

  I know a touchy subject but recently learned almost every family or so it seems has adoption  lurking in it's  background.

The following is from the will of Philip Wohlford, son of the previous  Philip who moved over the mountain to Sugar Valley in Clinton Co PA where he lived outside Loganton. He and his wife are buried in the cemetery behind what had been the Lutheran Church. Loganton suffered a disastrous fire in 1917 and half of the town was destroyed including the original Lutheran Church. A bank occupies that spot today. Like John Wohlford or Wohlfart's will this will is just simply a list of his children and where they lived. Philip's will is dated 28 Nov 1842. Some of his children moved west and those are identified by where they lived. Philip moved over the mountain to Sugar Valley.

Any of you who followed the Jerry Sandusky trial last week, caught glimpses of the beautiful courthouse where the trial was held in Bellefont PA. That is the same courthouse where brothers John and Philip filed their wills. I believe the older wills are now in the hands of the historical society.

Looking up my Lemon relatives William Harrison  Sizemore married Louella ''Sug'' Lemon d/o  George P Lemon and Nancy Jane Wills.As well as Charity McGraw d/o of Robert McGraw and  Victoria Daniels who married John Lemon.

Ireland is said to be the starting point of my Father's line, where in Ireland I am yet to find. His name was A. Homer Carr and I have traced the records back to Nova Scotia Canada, Orland Maine and Milton Mass.

My Mother, Millie M. Litty was the daughter of Albert Litty. I have traced that name back to Bern Switzerland.
