  I am interested in information on Archibald Powell as he relates to the Vannest,Field, Ten Broeck's, Dudley's and Powell's. There has been an ongoing discussion about the “new” NEHGS website at www.americanancestors.org  and on their Facebook group. In the course of my research I have realized that many of my earliest Swedish ancestors were priests in the Catholic church prior to 1530 and Lutheran's after that. There was even one who had to face the ecclessiastical court and then the King's court to prove he didn't have Catholic leanings although he was ordained in the Lutheran church.

  Over on another of my blog pages I posted a note  about a seminar some of us at CVGS attended last weekend.

  Hemet - San Jacinto Genealogical Society hosted a great day of knowledge and prizes and terrific lunch.

  Lunch was provided by the Boy Scouts of America.  I am learning new methods of lunches all the time.

  We are hoping for a large seminar like we did last October this October, so my eyes and ears are out there…
