 I have used usgenweb.org and then the county to gather what I could find prior to asking for more help.

 More help is found in many places.  I do not know if the Way Back Machine will find Barbara's site anymore.

Anna Dorthea Rasmussen was born on the 28 September 1869 in Stokkemark, Lolland, Denmark.  They emigrated to the USA in about 1872 or 73.  She is listed in 1880 census of Campbell, Wilkin County, Minnesota, USA as the eldest child of Lars and Hannah Rasmuson.  I would like to know more about her parents including her mother's maiden name.

I am the family historian for the Johansen-McSherry family.  Unlike many of the Norwegian immigrants who settled in Brooklyn, our side of the Johansens settled on Staten Island, New York.  I know some things about our Johansen side, but am always eager to find out more.

The Guild of One-Name Studies has reached another milestone. Today the 6,000th member joined the Guild of One-Name Studies. She is Mrs Sue Fisher-Pascall who lives in Chichester, UK.
