A Different Approach.... Is iIt Needed
It seems there are so many sites out there that researchers, yes even older researchers are getting a bit frustrated.
My serious concern is the loss of Rootsweb.com with their surname files and lists for regions you can share your data with people with. Have not heard how New York is doing with our records either. Now that is a state of major need for me on four lines.
So reading NGS, NEHGS and…

Good day to you all. The sun is out here and breeze is calm at the moment. It will probably rise up around 2:30 or
3 pm and get much cooler.
Resting my shoulder and neck, so instead of trying to read lots of fine print, I did a a bit of wandering.
I am just getting the hang of Pinterest. But I am learning that there is lots of free information out there that is
commented on differently depending on what…

Easter and the changes.
Easter was a great event when I was small. It was still a great event as a young mother.
I so enjoyed the getting together with Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and friends.
As our family grew, and young adults married it was harder to get together but we did manage a few great events
with relatives and friends. Most of my parents friends were treated equally as relatives. We even called them Aunt
and Uncle or Grandpa and…

5 Generation Charts and Sharing of Information. By Susi Pentico
Much to my dismay, the computer system would not show up on the screen. There fore, I started with what I was going to end with. Nor did we complete the helping of each other as intended but we did get names and places out there for us to think about.

GenealogyWise.com I have used for several years now. I never see anyone writing about the great advantages of using GenealogyWise.com for posting for a surname or for attending a chat.
Chats many time have leaders that present classes. I have done this in the past myself. At one time I was very proficient with Pennsylvania Research, Maryland Research and Virginia Research.
Having done classes for almost 10 years for the Golden Gate Forum owned by George F., it helped me to…

Have you heard of Mapme.com? You may want to try it. You can map and tell a family story all in one.
I am working on making it work.
Maps are really critical keys in our research. I think I picked up the information about it from Dick Eastman.
But other things have happened and I did not get it posted right away.
But it should be a lot of fun for most of you all.

Logsdon Family notesContinue
Family lore has it that William Logsdon at about age 50 in approximately 1702 selected a young Irish lass, Honora O'Flynn to be his wife. It is
believed that Honora was kidnapped from Kerry County Ireland and brought
aboard ship against her will to become a wife of an unmarried planter
in Maryland. Later, a footnote in the "The Centenary of Catholicity
in Kentucky" by the Hon. Ben, J. Webb…

What are you doing for Family History Day? What are you doing for Family History Month in October?
Is your group looking at putting on a display or event? Will you be sharing data with others at the local Library?
Maybe your community puts on a big gala? I am thankful that we try to recognize Family and History.
I hope you are too. So maybe you should start planning for it now.
