What did I collect as a youth?, is more like what did I not collect. First it was Butterflies. I had 7 boards of butterflies.'
Then I have always collected rocks, ie gems, minerals and those types of things. I even when an adult learned to cut,

A distant cousin shared some great information on the JONES lineage from Christopher Jones Jr down and we are looking for other descendants to help fill in the blanks.

Since women could not vote for a very long time in our current society, I want to ask you, "Do You Vote"?
Some blogging people on Facebook today on the far east coast were mentioning the young and some of the very old whom have trouble attempting to get to the polls and vote on meaningful subjects or even caring.
Decided that voting was my topic for today. Does your family or did your family keep you informed of voting practices and topics that would affect…

Trusting that the costumes and pranks ( innocent ones) were enough to scare…

Hi everyone,
Yes, the big question is,"do you belong?" If you have been doing research for at least one year, you have been getting your feet wet. You are learning the ropes and it is time to step up for some real help.
Having advocated one should belong to your local society for many years now, I am asking do you belong to yours?
Last time I asked this, responses were our society died, no one helps others, we do not have one. Those were the…

Found this book at Barnes & Nobles. It is called 4,000 Years of Uppity Women.
It is by Vicki Leon.
Talk about a genealogical adventure in many early lines of the past, it will curl your hair, tickle your funny bone and leave you amazed.
If one has early Turkish, Mesopotamian, Mid East back ground you might want to sneak a peak at it.
Having a glimmer of one of these lines I thought it might be interesting. That was an…

The picture shows a baby in Mr. Faber's lap. Is it the first, second or third child. I would think some of those in IOWA would know but so far no concrete answers.
A clue would be the picture was taken in Illinois.
So when did they live in Illinois? Look for old letters, reports in newspapers and census information may give us a clue.
I am sure that Lucy Faber's kin would surely know but I am not hearing that. Isn't genealogy and family…
