Philip Wolford was married to Catherine Kraemer and they lived in West Manheim Twp., York Co PA. Some of their children went to Centre Co. PA. Her name is correct. I mentioned that their son John was married to a Catherine Kremer. That is not correct. He was married to Catherine FUHRMAN of York Co PA. Her dates are however correct. Their son John was married to…
ContinueThe following is from the will of Philip Wohlford, son of the previous Philip who moved over the mountain to Sugar Valley in Clinton Co PA where he lived outside Loganton. He and his wife are buried in the cemetery behind what had been the Lutheran Church. Loganton suffered a disastrous fire in 1917 and half of the town was destroyed including the original Lutheran Church. A bank occupies that spot today. The Lutheran Church rebuilt caty cornered across the intersection from the original…

John's children began the migration of Wohlfords. Kleckners and Snooks from…

Hello - when I started this I had the intention of posting something once a day but then my world turned upside down - I adopted a golden retriever who is finally getting used to me being on the computer. It is too hot to be outside so I am in here working on the blog.
My interest in the Wolfords are in this country only. My old friend the late Jon Wohlford had some research on them from Europe and I will include that but not here at this time. I am starting off with my 5th…

I have a literal ton of information on Wolford or Wohlford and about 17 other spellings. I want to share this information and thought a blog would be a good way. The information you will find here is mainly from my personal research and what was contributed for publication in a newsletter I did about 15 years ago called The Wolford Connection. I also have research that Elaine Wolford shared with me and asked me to share with others and research by Jon Wohlford.
My Wohlfords descend…
