I Am trying to find my great grandfathers imformation,he put his children in the protestant orphan assylum in the early 1900's and joined the merchant marines,they never seen him again. My grandfathers name was Daniel Carlsen and I am not sure what his fathers name was.The orphanage was in Detroit,Mi.
