Early Census Records and how to glean knowledge for them for your research is the goal of Shirley's talk on Saturday at the library
4375 Bonita Road, Bonita,CA 91902 12 to 3 pm
.My talk will be on working with the first Five Census Taken of the United States. At first glance they are discouraging as there doesn't seem to be very much information, but appearances are deceiving. With patience and perseverance facts can be discovered and ancestors found. By tracking children and ages within locations your ancestors may be discovered. Of course it helps if you have the ancestor in question found in a later census so you do have an approximate age and idea of where he is located. I will have a handout, but would like anyone interested to contact me via email or text or call me at 619 318 2790 so I know how many to make for the workshop.
