Probates, Wills, Insurance Records and the Law and How It can Affect Your Genealogy Research
2 April 2011 Seminar Community Room, Bonita Library, 4375 Bonita Rd, Bonita, Ca 91902
Doors Open: 9:30 a.m presentations start at 10 a.m
Presents: Michael T Murphy, local attorney and Del Stevens, local insurance broker
Today we did the major finalizations of the Seminar coming this spring for the CVGS. We are delighted to have two local community members, help to educate us on the legal aspects of research for PROBATE, WILLS, and INSURANCE.
We are going to be having assistance by the students at CVHS again for posters, and manning booths and assisting us for presentation help. For Societies looking for help during seminars, your local high school students need to do Community Service. It is a great way to expose them to genealogy and research and get to be around a mix of potential future job ideas.
Genealogists come from all walks of life. They are Doctors, Undertakers, Street workers, cement layers, brick layers, secretaries, waitresses, Managers, construction, computers builders, program creators etc.
Our youngest genealogist (buddind) is 12 in our society. I was 12 when Mom really got me started besides previous stories being told and written.
The seminar will be full of lots of interesting things we may not know regarding the above subjects.
Nothing like going to the source to learn good information on these subjects.
It is also Free, Free, Free, Free. Just let us know your coming so we have chairs set up for attendees.
More to follow in a few days.
