I've been so furious with Legacy genealogy programme, which I loved, because I couldn't add same sex couples, some of my family are gay, and this has been distressing for me. I actually wrote to Legacy about this, and they literally told me to change the programme would be TOO HARD. Forgive the pun but too hard my arse! I've been stressing about this, especially for a lovely cousin of mine and his partner, because I wanted them to be on the family tree together, and thought I couldn't do it. Lo and behold there are now that I know of TWO family tree programmes that can add gay couoples, one you pay for - Family Tree Maker, and one you don't pay for Family Tree BUILDER! As you add the partner to family tree builder it will ask you if you realise you're matching two people of the same sex, but after that, no problem. You even have the option to list them as married or partners, just like everyone else. So please please do a gedcom and dump your file into FAMILY TREE BUILDER, the equal opportunity FREE family software, it doesn't discriminate, and it has weird fun features like a virtual grave yard, and special pictoral tags for those who died at war or in the Holocaust - so give it a go, yes I know it's a pain to begin with, especially since it lost my photos, but I LOVE the other features. Brava FAMILY TREE BUILDER, well done!
