Genealogy at Christmas Time - Yes Family Does Find You
Genealogy at Christmas Time I wrote about yesterday as to why to write Christmas letters and what the many benefits of the season can bring.
Opening my e-mail early yesterday morning, brain was on Michigan time, I received a letter from a new found Scott cousin. He has information to fill in some of my blanks which in turn will fill in at least 10 other Scott researchers blanks.
It is always a delight to hear from a new found kin of distance. Generally they become more like a friend.
Any other Scott researcher out there want to join in let us know we are expanding and growing and finding our kin.
Thomas SCOTT lived in Halifax Co. VA died there 1767, I believe he had at least 5 other siblings and still am digging.
Marries Susana {Payne?? possibly} not proven working on it.
Has for children proven: Nimrod Sr., Jacob, Anne, John.
I am not sure why a William is not listed here because I am sure papers show him as a son.
I have Thomas Scott's Will some court papers, land records, etc. Sure wish I had his parents.
