Mary Jane Hunter, 81, of Uneeda, formerly of Alkol passed away on November 10, 2012 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.

She was born January 24, 1931 and was a daughter of the late Elisha and Eva Smith Meadows. She was also preceded in death by one son, Samuel Elisha Hunter.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bias of Uneeda with whom she made her home with at the beginning of her illness; son, Chester Hunter of Hamlin; two brothers, Ed Meadows of Wharton and Bill Meadows of Alkol; two sisters, Sue Young of Ohio and Gloria Jean Price of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m.

Wednesday, November 14 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Stacy Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison
