I originally decided to start searching my families genealogy when there was a scare that my mother was very ill and was told my mother had 6-8 more weeks to live. She was diagnosed with Pulmonary Artery Disease. With lots of prayers she is still with us today.
I was very courteous about my family origin. All my grandparents had all past away before I was born and because of family drama not much was said about them. My mother talked about how different her parents were and how my great Grandmother Rosa Giambalvo did not like my Grandmother Carrie since my Grandfather Nunzio was Italian and my grandmother was French Canadian. My great grandmother Rosa Giambalvo was straight from Sicily - the old country and Italians married Italians.
This got me thinking about both my grandparents background. Who were they? Where did they come from? The French Canadian... How far back would I need to search to trace where the family came from France to Canada? I found this website searching the web for information on Pierre Tremblay that was born 1626 in France who went to New France and married Ozanna Achon.... According to what I've read all Tremblays (or different spelling of Tremblay) are linked to Pierre and Ozanna Tremblay in Canada and the United States.
