John Lee b. 1763 Harford County MD & d. 1803 York County PA

I am searching for the parents of my gr X4 grandfather, John Lee b. 1763 in Harford County MD and d. 1803 in Delta, York County, PA. John was married to Martha Howlett and they had 7 children. John was killed in, I believe, Delta, York Co., PA in 1803 by an "accidental discharge of another person". He is buried in the Slateville Presbyterian Cemetery in York Co., PA. He was born (according to familysearch.com) in Mill Green, Harford Co., MD, but I have not been able to locate any info there regarding his bio family. I am hoping someone in the York Co., PA area may have info I can use. Thank you! Donna

Hi Patsy,
Thank you for replying to my blog.
John was in the Rev. War and I have all his paperwork, but no mention of who his parents were.
I know everyone says this, but my cousins and I have always been told we are direct descendants to Gen. Robert E. Lee, yet I have not been able to find the connection.
I have traced my Lee side back to John, but can not seem to go back any farther.
I was hoping someone either in the York Co. (Peach Bottom) area or in the Harford Co., MD area (where he was born) would know.
I've tried every avenue I can think of, but to no avail. It seems John just showed up one day and married Martha; no parents or siblings! If I could find who his parents were, it might lead me forward to Gen. Lee.
Thank you again for taking the time to locate the DAR info. I was hoping that somewhere in all that would be the answer to my question: Who were his parents? Unfortunately, that still remains a mystery. Donna
