Recently, someone translated Wills for an area I needed major help in. Albany County, NY.
I found some JONES Wills in the files and some I can relate to, some I am unsure of but the
one I so badly wanted wasn't there. So I shall keep looking. It just takes a million little pieces to
complete this big puzzle.
In the same time era I am searching for the ancestors of Susan Madison which I believe was Mattison.
A George Madison comes to live near her in IOWA in 1870's then disappears. I suspect he was brother and he was 8 or so years younger than her.
It is so uncanny that this time frame is creating such an awkward search. I keep feeling like I am maybe
looking right at the answer but not seeing it. I step away, I go away and come back months later and it still sets the same.
It truly can not mean that the answer will not appear until I go to NY. But if one has paid others to dig they should have found and they should find easier than I, so I do not think the cost justifies an answer.
Maybe they just do not yet want found.
Susan Madison(Matison) husband was NOYES JONES, His Father is NOEL JONES and Susannah in Court Records. I suspect Abel Jones or Ruscom JONES is father of NOEL JONES b 1785 near Albany, NY.
Susan herself is kinless for all the years I have researched. Not without help of Mattisons' and other
researchers. For all they have done and advised on I say Thank You to each of you.
Quirks were the JONES cattle brand is same brand Dad used on our animals. Wonder now if Granddad'
advised on that brand. I know my Granddad knew more than he would say but weird about the brand.
So if anyone is digging the ABEL JONES or RUSCOMB JONES data from Albany, Renssaelaer Co NY
I would love to share more. They came from Rhode Island and their father was Silas JONES SR.
Noyes had letter stating SIlas was his GGrandfather and YDNA has proven the link it's the father of
Noel b 1785 that is not fessing up to the cause.
While on the subject Noel was ma to a Susannah whom was her parents, not a clue.
They also seem to disappear promptly after the 1810 census which shows Noyes as a baby child.
Their only child at that point.
IS this the NOEL JONES that goes to UTICA NY then to Allegany Co NY and dies after multi more marriages? I do not think so because he is never mentioned. Not in the court documents or other data I have located, though his birth place and date match. If so where is Susanna in 1820. I think
Noyes is living with Abel Jones by 1820 so maybe both parents gone? If so where buried, why no article in paper or information to be found.
I would love to exchange JONES information with any of Silas JONES SR's childrens family to see if they may hold a clue. The same applies to the MADISON MATTISON and unknown ? Susannah's last name kin.
