Today I've been sick, matter of fact, I've been sick for the last several days. Despite it all, today has been a good day.  Why?  Today I put photos on my GenealogyWise page.  Photos that are vivid because I can remember when some of them were taken.

Looking at pictures of my grandmother, Maud Wise Hairston, and putting them on this site.  Aiming that not only does her life continue because of her children, their children, but her name continues because I won't let it die.  She died October 31, 1977, yet I can still remember her scent.

My grandfather is posted also, Eugene Hairston.  He was the son of Martha and Tipp Hairston.  Tipp's father was Robert Hairston, a slave along with his wife, Betsey from Sauartown, NC, a Hairston Plantation.  Still trying to find records of his death, Betsey died in 1916.

I posted photos of my mother, Norma Hairston Boyd.  She passed away in 1997 and yet it seems like yesterday.

My Uncle Cliff was posted, actually my Great Uncle.  He was Maud's brother.  I also posted their mother, Maggie Wise, and a young picture of their brother, Richard, my Uncle Pete. This is one of my genealogy searches, to find more than a name.

My Aunts Helen, Hazel, and Martha Ruth are there.  With them are my Uncles Eugene, Warren and Ernest who have passed away.  But there are live Aunts and Uncles there too!  My Aunts Carolyn, Theresa, Shirley and Peggy and Uncle PeeWee and Herb. I also posted two my Uncles, Frank Kelley and Earl Poindexter, they were husbands to my Aunts Peggy and Carolyn.

Yes, today is a good day.  Despite how I feel, I made a conscience choice to let those I love be seen through your eyes.
