Will of James Kerr

In the name of God Amen I James Kerr of South Huntington Township Westmoreland County in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania Miller being of perfect health of body and of sound mind memory and understanding. Blessed be God for the same buy considering the uncertainty of this ________ life and having in view to go a long and dangerous journey do make and publish this my last will and testament in the following form and manner to wit ________ and first of all I commend my immortal soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named if in their reach and as to such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased to bless me in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit I give and devise to my three brothers Adam, Thomas, and Andrew Kerr to them and their heirs forever all my estate real and personal to each and equal share after them paying each an equal share of my just debts and Adam Kerr giving a clearance for fifty pounds of the legacy left him by Thomas Senear deceased which is the part to be paid by me. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said three Brothers Adam, Thomas and Andrew to be the Executors of it in my last will declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand affixed my seal this first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight.
Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said testater as his last will and testament in the present of us who in his present and at his request have subscribed us witnesses John Taton Robert McGuffey.
