A.M.D. G. Last will and testament of Mary Kerr who is known in religion as Sister Mary Evangelistica Kerr. O.S.B. In the name of God amen. I Mary Kerr late of Unity Township Westmoreland County. State of Pennsylvania, burrow known as Sister Mary Evangelistica Kerr. O.S.G. of St. Scholastica Covent of the city of Newark County of Essex and State of New Jersey. Of my own free will without being influenced by onay one whomsoever, do hereby, declare the following to be my last will and testament. First, I desire my Executor to pay all my lawfull debts and funeral expenses – Second, I bequeath the sum of One Hundred Dollars to the Rev. Father Bernard Mauser. O.S.B. Pastor of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of the city of Newark county of Esses state of New Jersey for the purpose of having private masses said for the suffering souls, and in case of Father Mausers removal or death. I desire that the said sum of One Hundred Dollars be given to his successor or successors in office. – Third, I bequeath one half of my remaining seal and personal items in the Kerr Estate located in Unity Township Westmoreland County state of Pennsylvania to Sister Philomina Spiegel O.S. B. Superioress of Saint Scholastica Covenent of the City of Newark County of Essex state of New Jersey or her successor or successors in office to be held in trust by her or them ____ the benefit of said convent. Fourth, the remaining portion of my real and personal property I bequeath to my brother Davis S. Kerr of Unity Township Westmoreland County State of Pennsylvania and I hereby appoint my Mother Mary Kerr his guardian. The property I desire my Executor to place in her hands in trust for my said Brother – Fifth I hereby appoint Mr. Davis Rodgers and Mr. Ignatius Elder of Unity Township aforesaid my Executors of this will.

Given under my hand and seal this twentieth day of October A.D. 1876 at the City of Newark County of Essex and state of New Jersey.

Now sworn as Sister Mary Evalgelista O.S.B.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testarix in the presence of us present at the same time who as her request and in her presence as well as in the presence of each other have hereto set our names as witnesses.
