My Californio Roots. I am a direct descendant of many of California's Spanish "founding families", including Yorba, Grijalva, Avila, Ruiz, Verdugo, Sepulveda, Bermudez, and others. I am also descended from or related to California pioneer families who arrived before the Mexican-American War, including the Pryors and Forsters.
