How about a combination of all three?

Actually, I've gotten really picky about what does or does not go into the family tree as far as facts and individuals go. Just because I "know" something, if I cannot verify it, it will not go, unless I happen to actually know this from personal knowledge, such as my parents' death dates or the dates of my children's marriages, etc.
I try to only put the information that I know is fact or have proof, especially, if I put it on the internet for others.
That is the only way for real genealogical research. So many here are speculating or going off on a wild goose chase. At least I just got two great responses to my Forum about ordinary ancestors. My Groups about accurate research just hang there.
It would be nice if GenyWise had organized sections, including one for shared research with actual sources. Many of the first mega-databases, of course, could not afford to store or display documentation.
Good hunting!
