Just to start the ball rolling, my Kennedy ancestors were from Rannoch in highland Perthshire, Scotland and I now live in Glasgow in the Scottish lowlands. There was a large branch of the Kennedys in the highlands but the chief of the Kennedy clan is from the lowlands in modern day Ayrshire. The Irish Kennedys were from the Co. Clare/Co. Tipperary border area and are strong around Nenagh still. In the north of Ireland there is now a mix of Scottish settlers and Irish who came north. Belfast for example has 50% Catholic Kennedys and 50% Protestant.
