Ray, I noticed Moore is one of the surnames your researching. Are you related to Annabelle Moore? She was originally from New Blaine. Annabelle married Marion Batchelor. They made their home in Dardanelle, Arkansas. She is buried at Hudson Cemetery.

Yes this is Annabelle. She lived to be 98. I took my Dad to visit with her many times. Our last visit was in 2003. She was the only person left, other than my Dad, that remembered his parents.....John Nunley and Ninnie Batchelor Nunley. I knew her all my life......but hadn't been to Arkansas for many years until 1999 when I started taking my Dad "back home." My husband had the privilege of meeting her in 2004. He was so amazed by her humour and positive attitude. She was one of the only people I have met who always had something good to say about everyone...never negative. My husband (being a pastor) speaks at many funerals. Sometimes it's difficult when you know how people have lived their lives to say something positive that the family expects to hear. He has always handled things well. In most cases he addresses what he can about the person.....then begins to speak to the family and friends, encouraging them to get ready to meet the Lord. He said he knew by meeting Annabelle one time that she would have many friends attend and many good true things said about her. Unfortunately, we found out about her death to late to make the funeral.
