Thanks Kate,
I really don't have much additional information to offer. He appears on the 1790 Census and apparently died in the 1830's in IL/IN. He supposedly was bonded to a blacksmith prior to the war. I don't have his birthdate or place nor information prior to the war. The census has him moving to KY where most of his children were born and he did leave a will.
I'm unsure of his ancestry and don't know if he was the original immigrant or not. I thought perhaps he might show on a ship's manifest.
Thanks for your efforts and I hope what little I have, helps.

Hi Bill-

I see a George Oller Senior and George Oller Junior living next door to each other in Alexander Illinois on the 1820 census, then a George Oller on the 1830 census in Morgan who appeared to be between 20 and 30 years of age. I'm assuming you are researching George Oller Senior? If this is case, have you researched George Junior to see if there was any biographical information on his father?

I also looked at the Rev War pension records available on Heritage Quest and found a Henry Oler/Oller who applied for a pension in the state of Virginia, (he was living in Ohio in 1839), but did not receive a pension.( I don't know if this would be a relative of his or not)
Thanks Kate,
I'll pursue George Jr. and see what I can find. I am pursuing George Sr. and trying to find him prior to his involvement in the Revolutionary War. It would be nice to know if he was the original immigrant and when and how he arrived here.
The other problem I've been having is proving a connection between Edward Oller b 1781-82, one of George Sr's. sons, and his children, especially Jesse b 1806 Hardin Co, KY. So far I haven't been able to tie Edward and Jesse together as father and son nor do I have names for Edward's other children..
Any help on these dead ends would be appreciated.
Thanks, Bill
