Here is one NyTimes article from June 13, 1890. I think this was actually in Chicago, IL, I'm not sure the Times would have done an article this big for a show in Ohio?

Maybe the Chicago Opera House of Chicago Junction Ohio wasnt a big enough venue. The article you just posted indicates the city of Chicago.

from what I'm reading it sounds like "The Crystal Slipper" may have been done for the Chicago Opera House. It had its Premiere in 1888, so this production is a revival less than two years later! I;m trying to find some good theatre books online to see if I can see what info there is on the 1890 production.
