Can you locate the list of slaves from the Belle Rive plantation in Georgetown, South Carolina? The slaveholders name was John Harelston Read and in 1860 he was on the listed as one out of 16 of the largest slaveholders in America. He had over 500 slaves on his plantation.

It looks like we have J. Harleston Read's Mauricina, Harmony and Maryville plantations, but not Belle Rive, on our Africana Heritage Project website:
