Hello,
I'm not sure what you are looking for, but there is a 1860 slave schedule online. It has the owners's names and how many slaves they had. I am researching the same area. What is the surname you are researching?

Thanks for responding Jean and Gene!

I am primarily researching the Douglas family from Noxubee. They moved betweet 1900-1910 to Clay County, but from 1870 to the early 1900s they were in Macons, and/or Brooksville townships.

The family of William Douglas, and later his son Turner Douglas are the lines that I am researching. They all later moved to West Point (in Clay County) but I would love to have more leads on this line.

Hello,

Yes I have all of those documents for the Douglas Line, and I also have the slave schedule. I have also identified a person who is probably the mother of William and someone who is probably the patriarch of the line. In an effort to gain more information on the region, and on the women---such as maiden names, that is what I seek---those documents beyond the census documents. I have the family even up to where they migrated to in the 1930s.

If you have marriage records this would be helpful, or a marriage index. I do know that James, (son of Turner, and son of William) married a Mary Hill, but who were the parents of the women who married William & Turner?)

Yes, I am studying A Douglas and hope to glean more information about him as well. I have been trying to find out additional resources for Noxubee County.
