Legacy's Favourite Features
I've been asked to give a one-hour presentation on Legacy to our semi-annual training meeting for FH Consultants ... I'd like to generate a list of "favourite" features to consider. I would invite folks to respond with your "favourite" feature.

My two favorite features of the program is being able to set relationships and colour coding and hiliting the direct line. I have many more favorites of this program but you only have an hour presentation.

My favourite way to use this is when I am speaking with a "new cousin" on the phone and I can reset all the relationships from their perspective! It makes life so much easier when discussing lines. Good idea! And yes, an hour is just not long enough :)

I like ther variety of reports that can be generated, along with setting relationships, so you can see how you are related to everyone.

I love the variety of reports ... and the customizing of them ... definitely the developers have anticipated just about every scenerio.

I have several people in my database that I am related to in more than one way because of cousin marriages in the past. i.e. I have a cousin who is my 1st cousin twice (her mother and mine were sisters, her father and mine were brothers), and my 13th cousin twice. So the relationship calculator is great. I like that it also gives you the line of descent from the common ancestor.

Carldine!! How nice to bump into you again! (you and my husband are related through the LONG families). I agree that the relationship calculator is great for showing multiple relationships. I'll definitely use this one.

The original reason I bought Legacy was because of the split screen feature.

I looooove the mapping feature. But I'm disappointed in the reports - I don't think they're all that great. What am I missing???
