There is a public member story concerning the death of John Wesley Riden (1818-1864) on ancestry.com. I would really appreciate it if somebody would let me know what it says. Thanks in advance.
Union soliders came to his house and wanted money. He refused. They took him outside, tied him to a fence and used him for target practice before shooting him with a cannon. His wife and children were made to watch.
