Monroe county and Clinton county

Hi Dianne!

Monroe Co.,OH. is next door to Washington Co.,OH. I don't know where Cinton Co.,OH. Check out the map in the Ohio section of www.usgenweb.com

Thanks Pam. I'm tying to find Joshua Stackhouse's father. He was born in Monroe County, but the 5 census I have has he father unknown. I thought I was on the right track, but the Joshua Stackhouse who has a patriot was born in Clinton County. It's strange these two Joshua's are born 2 years apart, and there children 6 of them have the same names. It's all screwed up on Ancestry it goes from the Joshua of Monroe to the father of the one born in Clinton. I thought I had found a Patriot, until I found 2 different Joshua's born about the same time. Thuoght maybe they were cousins and lived in nearby county. Dianne

The Clinton county is in the south west quadrant of Ohio close to Indiana. Monroe Co. is on the Ohio River across from Wheeling WV. My ancestors are from Monroe and moved across the river to Wetzel Co. which is the next Co. over from Ohio County. Dianne
