Good morning-
Question for you, "What is the best way to back up my Legacy program files?" I have lost my work before, do not want to do it again (as you probably understand :) ).
Thank you,
Craig.
How about a genealogy buddy with whom you can email your data file to on occasion and they do the same for you. It's as well to have your backup in a different location if for instance you have a fire and all your data and local backups are destroyed. Is this feasible?
Norm, this is one of the methods that I use, my tree is vast, as it is of my entire village, and I would hate to lose it, so each month I send a zipped gedcom to another member of our local history society.
I also backup my file after making any additions, and onto a external hard drive as well.
Also My tree is sent periodically to genealogy websites like Tribal Pages, and Genes Reunited. Regards, Phil.
Craig I am willing to give it a try if you want to buddy with me. The only thing is the size of my files are quite large. I think my backup file is about 4.9MB but my pics backup is a hefty 164MB! What do you think?
