Michelle, I love your scrapbook pages posted on your blog. I am encouraged and excited to try my hand at something like that. I think the printed book is a wonderful outcome for your hard work. Your family is very lucky. I'm anxious to try your method of recording my history.
The acetate is the background page, just like using a piece of patterned paper. I stamped it with a woodblock stamp and making memories paint. Then I did my layout on top of it. Here's what I did on the other side:
I absolutely LOVE this Maritha. Your grandmother is very beautiful. This is one of the most appealing layouts I have seen on here so far. It is very simple and very elegant. Kudos!!
Here is another page I created, using photos of 7 Direct Generations on the female side of my family. Starting with my Great Great Grandmother, born 1826 in Yorkshire, and finishing with my 3 Granddaughters, the 7th Generations. My twin daughters are the 6th Generation.
