I am trying to trace my family and to that end I am trying to plot all the devon Radfords to see where my mob fit in - see Devon Radford Batches 1-4 on Ancestry.com. I have a clear track with evidence to the George Radford that appears below who was my great grandfather. Back in 1970 Brooks and Simpson, Genealogists, found that George's father was Thomas and assumed that the High Bullin Thomas radford in the following list was my great great grandfather. However Mary his wife would have had to be 48 years of age when Thomas was born in 1775/6 which is a bit improbable. I wonder if you can shed any light from your research.

I have included below the list of Silverton Radfords Brooks and Simpson compiled from the 1851 census. It may be useful to you.

I and several others are researching the Devon Radfords and intend to create a web site others can use for research. We are finding that some of the trees that can be compiled from Ancestry.com are incorrect. For instance many public trees go back beyond and through Sir Nicholas Radford who infact died without having any children.

My husband's great grandfather is William Lewis Radford of Silverton, Devon, born January 31, 1893. He immigrated to Manitoba, Canada somewhere around 1916. Then eventually to Rochester, NY. I'm looking for his parents/family in Devon.
